More functional features

  1. Ski width and side shape: Different sidecuts have different effects on the handling of the ski.
    • High tailored: the ski turns more easily
    • Low tailored: the ski has a better gliding and guidance
    • Width ski: more stability and secure footing - ideal for beginners
    • Narrow ski: lightweight - ideal for athletic runners
    • Arrow shape: fast skis at World Cup level
  2. Torsional stiffness: Torsional stiffness is the stiffness of a ski that counteracts the torsional forces.
  3. Ski weight: The ski weight is important, especially for racers. Light skis allow a higher basic speed and are less tiring and easier to lead over long distances.
