Faction Prodigy 2 24/25 Freeski with Binding
Product description
The Faction Prodigy 2 24/25 freeski with the Marker Squire 11 freeski binding offers a perfect combination of versatility and performance.
Thanks to its stable construction and ingenious geometry, the ski is suitable for both fast descents and creative freestyle manoeuvres. In combination with the Marker Squire 11 binding, which is known for its precision and safety, freeskiers get a reliable and dynamic setup. An outstanding package for all those who want to show off their skills in the park as well as off-piste.
The Prodigy 2 is the ultimate all-mountain shred-tool.
Packing all the right ingredients to help you pop, stomp and surf all over the mountain, its poplar core is soft and poppy enough to butter those slushy rollers while maintaining stiffness underfoot for serious carving — meaning the only way to beat your last run is to go back up for another. For 24|25 we’ve added another tasty ingredient: the carbon/rubber stomp pad, for vibration absorption for when you send it to Mars. Have a great flight! Thoughtfully crafted from the durable topsheets all the way down to the perfectly finished bases, the Prodigy Series represents all that Faction stands for: Progression. Responsive wood cores, directional twin-tip shapes and versatile camber lines deliver confidence-inspiring performance. Quick to respond to commands and ultra easy to handle, the Prodigy skis are designed to elevate the skier’s game. Backed by a class-leading two-year warranty.
The set comes with the Marker Squire 11 freeski binding.
A progressive, very light and sturdy rookie freeride/freestyle binding, GripWalk-ready and equipped with state-of-the-art components. The Squire 11 has progressive looks and is specially designed for lighter weight but fully motivated freeride and freestyle rookies. A lightweight Triple Pivot Light toe piece features a distinctive Ice Off Rail to keep the sole free of snow and ice. A state-of-the-art Hollow Linkage heel with its wider boot holder reduces the step-in force by approximately 35%, even with GripWalk soles. All in all, the Squire 11 is very compact and, despite its GripWalk compatibility, only 24 mm high, which allows a very direct feel and ski control.

Poplar is a light-coloured, medium-weight, durable softwood that flexes and pops nicely as well as having a whole load of vibration absorption capabilities. Used as the only wood in this core, it allows the ski to pop, butter and stomp like a park ski and also have enough torsional stability to grip impressively on the downhill.

Carbon and rubber Stomp Pad absorbs vibration at high speeds and upon landing big airs. A 600mm-long, 15mm-wide carbon/rubber reinforcement underfoot, above the edge, adds strength where it matters most to this performance oriented ski. In addition to protecting the wood core from heavy-duty impact on rails, the carbon and rubber inlay adds stability and vibration absorption under your boots, so that stomped landings feel better, both for you and your skis.

7 fractions of a millimetre might not sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges stack an extra 35% of height on top of Factions already super-durable standard 1.8mm edges. This extra steel gives the rider a pair of skis that are going to take more abuse and last longer.

A construction that places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the woodcore, edges and topsheet from impact and outside damage.

Elliptical Radius Sidecut is made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail result in seamless turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turns lengths and angles.

Micro-cap construction is a hybrid of a premium, sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski’s topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile join that can be prone to chipping.

The "Mustache Flex" offers stability underfoot for solid edge hold, with a smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris the mountain throws at you. This flex works best for most skiers. Enjoy stability in front of, and behind the binding area to provide solid edge hold. Then, we transition to smooth, progressive flex in the tips and tails to easily absorb all the different bumps and snow debris the mountain throws at you. This flex allows for progression and for an easier turn initiation and finish

Tip and tail rocker + traditional camber, for the perfect blend of high performance edge hold, easy turn initiation, and float in soft snow.
Sustainability

Built with recycled materials, never sacrificing durability. Faction is working with their production partners to eliminate material waste. They now mix base, sidewall and topsheet material scraps back into the raw material used for production, reducing carbon emissions while ensuring the same level of quality & durability. As a fun fact, by integrating recycled materials into their ski bases, they reduce the ecological impact of our bases by 75%.

In an effort to reduce the impact of their supply chain, Faction strives to source materials from European companies that are based near their factories.
