Best sleeping climate thanks to wool
People have been using wool as a blanket for centuries. The reason is that wool is very temperature balancing: the temperature range in which you feel comfortable with wool is very wide. Wool warms even when it is already damp. And unlike down, it is much less sensitive to moisture.

The philosophy of Grüezi bag is: Only those who sleep well are fit the next day and have desire for the next adventure. Therefore, in addition to the sleeping climate, attention is also paid to sufficient freedom of movement in the sleeping bag. As much freedom of movement as necessary but as little weight as possible. That is the guiding principle.
Two different insulation materials with wool
Alpine wool made of pure wool from sheep from the alpine region. The advantage of Almwolle by lavalan ® is the high insensitivity to moisture. On the other hand, Almwolle by lavalan ® is not quite as light as the DownWool insulation material.
DownWool is probably the best insulation material currently available for sleeping bags.
It consists of 70% RDS-certified down and 30% wool. Thus, it combines the advantages of both materials. Due to the high down content, it insulates very well and is still lightweight. The wool content makes DownWool less sensitive to moisture than pure down and is also temperature balancing.
With the unique mix of DownWool, Grüezi bag uses the advantages of down and wool. Thus, the best insulation and a perfect, dry sleeping climate is achieved with a low weight.
Sustainability and animal welfare
The Grüezi bag Codex is based on three key points: Nature conservation, animal welfare and humanity. Based on these criteria, Grüezi bag develops, produces and sells its products.
DownWool and alpine wool are made from 100% natural and renewable raw materials. Only RDS-certified down is used. Almwolle by lavalan ® comes from sheep from the alpine region. Grüezi bag knows where the materials come from.
With the "Grüezi bag Biopod DownWool Nature", the brand has for the first time developed a sleeping bag made from 100% natural materials. Even the packaging is plastic-free. For this, Grüezi bag received the ISPO Award "Product of the Year" in 2019.
The "Grüezi bag Biopod DownWool Ice CompostAble" is 100% compostable and is dissolved by nature under anaerobic conditions in only about 200 days.
In the existing collection, the manufacturer currently replaces all polyester materials with recycled polyester or renewable materials.
