Product description
The K2 Wayback 88 22/23 touring ski set with the Ogso Venus touring binding and the Sport Bittl ski touring skin from KOHLA is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a lightweight, stable and high-performance touring set-up.
The Wayback 88 touring ski impresses with its versatility and outstanding performance in a wide range of snow conditions, the Ogso Venus binding ensures maximum control and safety on the descent, and the KOHLA skins guarantee you an efficient ascent. With this set, you are perfectly equipped for every ski tour - from relaxed ascents to challenging descents.
The Wayback 88 presents a new technology with the Steadfast Base - Glide Better, Longer.
It’s hard to believe something this light can still deliver on the descents. The Titanal-reinforced Wayback 88 will change your opinion of featherweight touring skis. They can fly up the skin track with the best of ‘em, yet inspire confidence when the snow is variable and the descents are steep. Why hike all that way if you’re not gonna have fun on the way down?
The set comes with the Ogso Venus Touring Binding- a minimalist all-rounder with brakes for classic ski touring.
Pared back to the essentials: The minimalist Venus binding is an impressively light and reliable companion for classic ski tours. Whether for a fast after-work loop on your local mountain, an extended summit tour, or your first attempt on touring skis, the Venus shows one thing spectacularly: Less is more! The binding brings the true spirit of Low Tech back to the summit. It is versatile and, despite total minimalism, it boasts all the features needed for a successful tour – smart construction and premium materials is what makes it all possible. On the descent, the Venus wins points for its top power transfer and total reliability. When it comes to handling and comfort, this lightweight binding knows how to impress. The extra wide plate together with Step-In Side Towers makes entry very easy. In order to ensure the boot is really firmly anchored in the binding, the Venus features special Ice Breaker Pins that displace ice and snow from ski touring boot inserts. In addition, the toe piece is built so any built-up ice and snow loosens and is pushed out when stepping in. That means nothing gets in your way, and you are immediately ready to go. Brakes are retracted in climbing mode with your first step into the binding and are activated automatically in downhill mode. For comfortable climbing on steep terrain, the Venus binding has a new, functionally integrated speed riser that offers a total of three walk modes. Operating it is done with a ski pole. If you like, the riser can of course also be operated by hand. The excenter on the toe piece is also designed to be secured with the grip of the ski pole and be released with the pole tip. And there’s another intelligent extra: Thanks to a re-engineered ski crampon leash, the Venus binding is compatible with the new DYNAFIT ski crampon with “Quick-In-Achse.” Meaning you can attach it not only from the side but also from the top. In particular on challenging terrain, mounting ski crampons from the top is easier and they are more quickly attached. Like the identical DYNAFIT bindings, the Venus has been developed in Germany and manufactured in Europe. Venus Binding – Less is more
