Product description
Lightweight, versatile, and high-performing for every tour
The perfect all-round touring ski
The K2 Wayback 88 22/23 is your ideal companion if you love lightweight, versatile tours and are looking for a ski that excels both on the ascent and the descent. Whether on groomed slopes, in spring snow, or in light powder, this ski offers reliable control, stability, and pure enjoyment on every run.
Innovative Steadfast Base for longer glide
Thanks to the Steadfast Base – Glide Better, Longer, you'll glide more easily and for longer, while its environmentally friendly manufacturing process uses 30% less energy. The base holds wax up to 9 times longer than a conventional high-end sintered base, so you can spend more time on the mountain and less time waxing.
Lightweight and high-performing
With titanal reinforcement, Carbon Overdrive, and the Snophobic topsheet, the Wayback 88 delivers surprisingly good downhill performance despite its light weight. This way, you can enjoy the ascent without compromising the descent – because the fun of skiing downhill is the goal of every tour.
Looking for an all-round touring ski that's light, agile, and performs exceptionally well on the descent? The K2 Wayback 88 22/23 combines modern technologies, sustainable materials, and top-notch performance – perfect for anyone who wants to maximize every tour and have just as much fun on the summit as on the way down.
K2 uses a variety of wood species in our cores to fine-tune the performance characteristics of each ski.
Paulownia is a lively, flexible wood with excellent strength-to-weight ratio.
Unidirectional carbon fiber integrated into the layups of the K2 Wayback and Talkback touring skis to keep them light and responsive.
Hydrophobic snow-shedding topsheet material that helps prevent snow buildup.
Titanal laminate specifically developed for the Wayback and Talkback collections to increase predictability, stability, and damping on lightweight touring ski constructions.
Gradual rise in the tip for great versatility in all conditions, with a low, short rise in the tail for added control in variable snow.
