Venture off the beaten track and into the great outdoors. If we don't take care of the nature that surrounds us, we will not be able to enjoy it.
The planet is getting hotter, winter seasons are becoming more inconsistent. Sea levels are rising. Glaciers are melting. We need to limit the temperature rise to max 1.5°C before 2030. We all can contribute. Discuss how climate crises impact you and your friends on your adventure.
O T BT - Travel
How do you travel to the mountains?
Travel to your adventure in an environmentally friendly way. Share the ride to the mountains with your friends, take the train instead of the car or if you’re feeling extra adventurous, go by bike.
OT B T - Bring Your Bottle
Reduce Reuse Recycle, bring your own water bottle and coffee cup up on the mountain. Leave nothing but powder eights on the mountain!
Everything you brought up to the mountain, you shall take with you back. 1 million of PET bottles are sold every minute. Do you have a standard packing list for your adventures? Add the reusable cup and water bottle and remind your friends.

Collective Activism for a Sustainable future. Get involved, be loud, be informed and share the message. Discuss with your friends what you can do as a skier to minimize your environmental impact.
UNITING A COMMUNITY
Faction are building a community via their Off The Beaten Track (OTBT) campaign. You as a skier are invited to share stories of how you push your own boundaries. Whether you’re partaking in your first-ever foray into the sidecountry or logging a multi-day backcountry camping mission, Faction will highlight the most compelling stories in OTBT-themed blogs and social media posts—an ever evolving playbook of adventures big and small. Off The Beaten Track celebrates the backcountry skiing community, and the feeling of caring for and enjoying nature with your friends.
Furthermore, beginning this winter and growing with Faction’s OTBT media through the coming seasons, Faction will collaborate with existing—and also organize its own—grassroots backcountry clubs to promote the idea of trekking OTBT. With an emphasis on adventure and looking after the nature we all love so deeply, Faction looks to unite skiers to take collective activism for a sustainable future.
OFF THE BEATEN TRACK TOURING CLUB
When exploring our planet its important to respect the nature that we love and enjoy. By being in the nature we believe that you will do that little bit extra to care for the nature as well. Faction looks to unite skiers to take collective activism for a sustainable future. Take the opportunity and bring old friends together or make new friends, enjoy the nature and exchange ideas about how to translate sustainability practices into daily life to make positive changes for our planet. SUSTAINABILITY & SAFETY
Venture off the beaten track and into the great outdoors. If we don't take care of the nature that surrounds us, we will not be able to enjoy it. Look into different aspects of climate crises with your touring crew and discuss what you can do to protect our planet.
While sustainability never sleeps, safety also never takes a holiday so take care of each other on your adventures. Carry the right equipment and know how to use it, split into smaller groups in avalanche terrain and use mountain guides if you are not familiar with the area.

FOR THE FUTURE
In a nod to Faction’s CSR goals, skiers who purchase the Agent Series will be taking positive action towards preserving and protecting our natural playgrounds. In partnership with 1% for the Planet, one percent of all sales of Agent Series skis will be donated to nonprofit organizations that are working to address issues surrounding the climate crisis. For the 2019/20 season, specifically, proceeds will benefit Protect Our Winters.
