Product description
Precision and Speed for Sporty Skiers
Slalom Skis for Dynamic Turns
The Völkl Racetiger SC 26/27 is your perfect companion if you love tight to medium turns and want to enjoy every turn on edge. This sporty slalom ski is designed for experienced skiers who seek full control and maximum agility on groomed slopes. Whether you're carving fast turns or pushing the limits with power, the Racetiger SC delivers precise handling and pure skiing pleasure.
Titanal & Tailored Carbon for Maximum Agility
Thanks to the Tailored Carbon Tips, the effort required to initiate a turn is significantly reduced, while the integrated carbon strips direct energy precisely where it's needed. The titanal strips ensure smooth running and stability, even at high speeds, allowing you to master every turn with control and dynamism. The custom-designed, slightly wider carbon shovel enhances maneuverability, while the titanal binding ensures smooth turning.
Sporty yet versatile
Whether you're skiing aggressively in slalom mode or enjoying a more relaxed carving session, the Racetiger SC offers remarkable versatility. Its narrower waist allows for quick edge changes and a dynamic skiing style without compromising stability.
If you're looking for a slalom ski that combines precision, dynamism, and smooth handling, this category is perfect for you. Feel the control in every turn, enjoy the speed, and experience slalom performance at its finest – with the Völkl Racetiger SC 26/27.
The ski comes with the Marker VMotion 12 GripWalk® Set binding.
Power in every turn, comfortable handling and GripWalk compatibility: the vMotion 12 all-mountain system has it all.
The innovative vMotion 12 all-mountain binding is suited for advanced to expert skiers looking for a combination of high performance, comfort, and GripWalk compatibility. The Triple Pivot X toe offers great power transmission, upward release function, and low swing weight, while the TCX Light heel contributes to the comfort with the easy step in afforded by Twincam technology.
The side wall is laminated to extremely stable layers of wood on the sides of the sandwich core. In combination with a more flexible, lighter wood built into the center of the sandwich core construction provides numerous advantages: The hardwood part immediately adjacent to the sidewall effects a higher power transmission, improves the edge grip and supports the edge against external forces. The low weight of the softwood part in the middle of the ski brings more agility and maneuverability and reduces overall ski weight. The combination of both wood types running through the entire ski length contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski stiffness increasing the steering precision. It is the first and only sidewall/core technology intended for aggressive on-piste and racing use and capable of delivering the victory and defeat, even if it is measured in hundredths of seconds.
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. The stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile shovel reaction with less effort and quickly build up energy. The Tailored Carbon Tips thus reach a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.
Sportive material layup for high dampening and reliability on Freeride skis to also keep relatively light weight.
The specific synthetic substance of the sidewall enables precise and direct power transmission.
Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
1 3D.GLASS IS INTEGRATED IN THE TIP AND TAIL OF THE SKI
- flat glass under the binding making the center softer
- variable turning at any speed
2 GLASS ABOVE THE SIDEWALL
- providing additional support for superior edge grip on icy slopes
3 VERTICAL GLASS IN TIP & TAIL AREA
- more pop for faster edge to edge changes
Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape. The Völkl rocker construction is directly integrated into the production cycle, so the rocker shape doesn’t need to be bent afterwards, which makes the matching between the rocker and the other components much more harmonized and precise:
A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
ZEBRA base structure on system / premounted skis with narrower widths Very pronounced & deep structure to offer the best possible precision & steering characteristics for an on-piste ski. -Agile, precise & reliable turn initiation -Smooth drifting -Agile, precise & reliable turn initiation
