The Rise 84 touring skins offer you optimum grip and support you every step of the way uphill. This set combines low weight, high functionality and comfort - perfect for tourers who expect reliable performance and safety on any terrain.
The Völkl Rise 84 is the ideal touring ski for the classic touring skier, due to the medium tailing of 84 mm it is uncomplicated in the ascent and still has a good performance on the descent.
When your main focus is on the ascent but you’re still looking for a ski with great riding performance, the Rise 84 is the perfect choice. The hybrid Tourlite wood core enables us to produce the ski at a very low weight while still providing reliable downhill performance. Thanks to the full sidewall, the ski offers good stability and resilience. The Rise 84 naturally also features the Smart Skinclip system, which is compatible with both Tech Fibre and Smart Glue skins.
The set comes with the Dynafit ST Rotation lite 10 touring binding. Durable and totally reliable for classic ski touring.
The Rotation Lite 10 Binding with its patented pivoting toe piece has an impressively durable construction and total reliability for all ski tours. The pivoting toe piece evens out impacts that can effect ski and binding on a powerful dynamic downhill. The binding release function is thus more reliable and effectively counters unwanted early release. Its new aluminum toe piece allowed the weight of the binding to be reduced to a light 550 grams. Meaning you aren’t carrying a single gram too much on your skis and can save energy on the climb. The heel unit, newly reinforced with aluminum for increased rigidity, lends even better power transfer between heel and ski, transforming the binding into a long-lasting, durable partner – wherever your adventures take you. The “Hub Centering” system in all bindings with a pivoting toe piece makes it child’s play for users to click into the boot’s neutral position and thus makes it easy to adjust your position for climbing. Thanks to three different walk modes, you can climb with maximum comfort. The Rotation Lite 10 Binding offers 25 mm of flex in its length adjustment, enabling it to fit various sole lengths. Its release value can be adjusted from DIN 4 to 10. As with all DYNAFIT bindings, the Rotation Lite 10 has been developed and manufactured in Germany and offers DYNAFIT’s Lifetime Guarantee. The Rotation Lite 10 – Your reliable partner.
The Völkl Rise 84 touring skin combines the new, improved Smart Glue technology with the proven hold of the adhesive glue with significantly easier handling.
A 2-layer Fiber Seal construction without cotton works water repelling, prevents glopping and lets the skin dry quicker. The skins are laser cut for a precise and robust outline. The 70/30 Mohair mix is the perfect combination of gliding and tracking. Smart Clip System allows the skier to put on or pull off the skin in both directions, depending on the situation.
The combination of beech under the binding and poplar plus paulownia in the outer areas results in a very lightweight woodcore construction which proved to work especially well for touring skis.
Topsheet technology to reduce the weight of the ski when skiing and hiking. Will reduce the snow attachment to the ski at an average of 20% to 30%.
The next step in effective weight reduction. ICE.OFF stands for the latest topsheet technology on the Völkl touring skis. The unique surface structure and material composition reduces icing as the snow simply slides off the topsheet. This leads to a drastic reduction of weight in use, on average up to 20% to 30%. In addition, mainly white graphics support the anti-icing effect. Lighter skis prevent fatigue, especially on long and steep uphill sections.
Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape. The Völkl rocker construction is directly integrated into the production cycle, so the rocker shape doesn’t need to be bent afterwards, which makes the matching between the rocker and the other components much more harmonized and precise:
