Dolomite today stands for sophisticated, sporty fashion for people who see life as an adventure. The story began in 1897 with a passion for shoes that carry people through life. In Treviso, Italy, Giuseppe Garbuio, a shoemaker who was only 17 years old at the time, opened his workshop, where he manufactured sturdy work shoes. Since then, one innovation was followed by the next one: the first ski boots made of full-grain leather, precision-fit shoes for solid bindings and plastic ski boots. Starting in the 1950s, Dolomite boots and jackets accompanied some of the greatest adventurers up the highest mountains and into the most dangerous ranges on our planet. Due to their outstanding quality and high functionality, Dolomite products have been perfect for extreme conditions. In the 80's Dolomite focused more on fashion, the down jackets quickly became a cult. Today, in addition to the performance products, there is a separate lifestyle line, whose styles are fashion-inspired designs for urban lifestyles.
