Candide Skis AK 121 23/24 Freeski
The last frontier.
Candide’s every day ski, the 121mm waist combined with flat-camber underfoot and dollops of tip and tail rocker translates to float for days and instant response. Designed for the steep and deep, but equally at home in trees and loads of fun carving on piste, this ski shouldn’t be this versatile but somehow is. We’ve slowly refined this shape over a decade, balancing the sidecut, core profile, camberline, flex and mount points to provide the ultimate ski for those who demand the best. For the G.O.A.T. there is no substitute.
All skis feature chip-resistant Corund topsheets, hardened steel edges, PTEX 4000 bases, bio-based epoxy and FSC certified wood cores. Proudly made in the European Union.
The premier Candide ski collection. Created by a hand-picked team of industry experts and influenced by over 20 years working with the best factories in the world. A proprietary mix of paulownia and poplar woods, wrapped in fiberglass and carbon gives a lightweight yet incredibly strong ski full of pop. The first Candide collection features a strong but light core construction of paulownia and poplar wood, sandwiched between layers of fibreglass and carbon weave. The most durable, lightweight core they’ve ever seen in over 20 years.
The Forest Stewardship Council A. C. is an international non-profit, multistakeholder organization established in 1993 that promotes responsible management of the world’s forests, via timber certification. All Candide wood cores are FSC certified.
Three radius blended together for quick turn initiation, stability at speed and mounting versatility.
A chip-resistant lightly textured topsheet that protects against scratches to keep your skis looking fresh.
The fastest, most durable production bases you can get.
Rockwell Steel Edges are heat-treated steel built to last.
The Candide factory has been pioneering the use of bio-based epoxy for many years. This replaces the petro-chemical with renewable materials such as vegetable oils. This process retains all the strength of a traditional epoxy resin.
