Völkl Racetiger SL 24/25 Ski with Binding
World Cup slalom legend with the most radical radius of the entire collection
Introduced in 1970 as the Renntiger, no other Völkl epitomises performance and success quite like the Racetiger. The Racetiger SL comes into its own on slalom courses and on general pistes in tight bends and wherever you need lightning-fast edge changes, responsiveness, and a consistently superlative glide. The Racetiger SL features Tailored Carbon Tips. Tailor-made carbon fibres allow the ski to be adapted to exactly the things it’s going to be used for. The strength and alignment of the fibres define the force you need to apply and the energy that builds up in exactly the right places, which means agile shovel reaction with a precise response the moment you initiate a turn. The SL can be steered around the tightest bends with less power input but with no loss whatsoever in precision and control.
Its improved performance is due largely to a slightly shortened and flattened tip rocker and, most especially, a slightly modified geometry. A narrower waist delivers a much more dynamic, responsive ride with high-precision edge changes.
These features are perfectly rounded off by 3D Glass, two full layers of Titanal and our renowned multilayer wood core, as well as our R-Motion 3 GW binding. A shortened plate combined with a wider hole pattern delivers stronger, more direct power transmission and helps you switch edges quicker. The real highlight, however, is that the two rear screws are no longer fixed, allowing the binding to slide freely and the ski to move harmoniously through the entire line of the bend, giving improved edge grip without blocking.

The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood around.
Direct and strong powertransmission with full length sidewalls.
The titanium setup makes the ski agile and dynamic. Especially friends of a hard, fast and aggressive riding style benefit from the quick response of this construction.
Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
1 3D.GLASS IS INTEGRATED IN THE TIP AND TAIL OF THE SKI
- flat glass under the binding making the center softer
- variable turning at any speed
2 GLASS ABOVE THE SIDEWALL
-providing additional support for superior edge grip on icy slopes
3 VERTICAL GLASS IN TIP & TAIL AREA
-more pop for faster edge to edge changes
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. The stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile shovel reaction with less effort and quickly build up energy. The Tailored Carbon Tips thus reach a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on the top of the Völkl line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.
Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape. The Völkl rocker construction is directly integrated into the production cycle, so the rocker shape doesn’t need to be bent afterwards, which makes the matching between the rocker and the other components much more harmonized and precise:
