The children's helmet provides a multitude of detailed solutions, all geared towards one goal: maximum safety with maximum comfort. For a perfect fit, the Run System Classic Slide, which can be adapted to the head in three dimensions, ensures a high degree of comfort and protection. The low weight is due to the inmold production where the upper shell is thermally connected with the Hi-EPS. This results in a solid surface connection, which is responsible for a very sturdy design. In addition, the edges are finished with the polycarbonate Edge Protect shell.

One factor that greatly influences comfort when wearing is the ventilation of the helmet. The strategically sensible arrangement of the vents is crucial for optimum ventilation of the interior. The air is directed into the interior, guided around the head and can flow out again at the back. The head is therefore comfortably air-conditioned at all times.
All Alpina helmets that are manufactured using the inmold process have a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under high heat to the shape of the future helmet and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body with high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic Shell is characterized by several qualities: It is break- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
Proven a hundred thousand times over and used on all Alpina helmets: the strap buckle with the red push button and multi-step automatic locking mechanism. Ergomatic can be operated with one hand - you can loosen the strap on the way up the mountain and tighten it for downhill - and in a fall the locking mechanism cannot open automatically.
The inner shell of all Inmold helmets consists of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). It is made up of a large number of microscopic air pockets which absorb the impact forces that act in a crash. In addition, HI-EPS absorbs neither water nor perspiration.
In the production process for Inmold helmets the inner shell is foam-injected underneath the outer shell under high heat. Thanks to the complete fusion of the upper and lower shells Inmold helmets are extremely stable and very light. In addition, they offer clearly more safety than spot-glued helmets.
The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. The Run System Classic Slide was designed especially for children’s helmets. Children’s heads vary in shape and size far more than the heads of adults. The adjustment system ensures even greater customisation in fitting and a better fit with its extra free-gliding headband inside the helmet.
The Y-Clip connects the front and rear straps beneath the ear. Opening the clip enables the straps to be adjusted easily for a perfect fit.
