ORTOVOX Brenta Hiking Pants Men black raven
Robust, breathable pants with belt for demanding alpine tours
Developed for alpine adventures: The lightweight BRENTA PANTS for men mirror every movement and won’t shy away from contact with a rockface. The durable SHIELD LIGHT material withstands more than 80,000 abrasion cycles in the Martindale test, making it one of ORTOVOX’s most robust fabrics. The elastic 4-way stretch material guarantees optimum freedom of movement in the mountains and is also breathable, water resistant and quick drying.
Thanks to their new, loose cut and higher waistband, these pants have a modern, comfortable fit. A hook on the integrated belt allows it to be fastened in just one move, and there is no need to unfasten it when taking the pants off or putting them on. Two spacious front zipper pockets provide plenty of room for money or keys, while the thigh pocket has a hidden zipper and taped seams for additional storage room and a clean look. Merino mesh inserts in the waistband and pocket areas provide added comfort. The BRENTA PANTS for men are PFC-free and climate neutral.

Since 1995, merino wool has been an integral component of ORTOVOX’s mountainwear. The merino wool comes from selected farms that comply with the OWP wool standard: the ORTOVOX WOOL PROMISE. ORTOVOX obtains its virgin wool from certified and ethical sheep farms. These farms are regularly monitored within the framework of the OWP. The wool is naturally 100% ecological and therefore super sustainable. Thanks to the small-diameter fibers in its fine woolen threads, merino wool feels extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. In addition to comfort, merino wool also provides an ideal personal body climate by regulating both moisture and temperature. It is also easy to care for and, thanks to its antibacterial effect, odor neutralizing.
Mulesing free describes a type of sheep farming in which the animals are spared the painful procedure of mulesing. Mulesing involves removing folds of skin around the animals' tails, sometimes without anesthesia, and this controversial procedure is used to prevent possible parasitic infestations. However, this technique is not used on animals from strictly controlled Mulesing free farms. Instead, they rely on close-meshed health monitoring to prevent parasite infestations and diseases. This increases the well-being and quality of life of the sheep, making Merino wool with the Mulesing free label the best choice for anyone who wants to support pain-free sheep husbandry and breeding.
