Rab´s story began in 1981, when British climber Rab Carrington started to hand-stitch the first sleeping bags that bore his name in the attic of a small house in Sheffield. “Rab” was born. Rab´s products are the result of decades of mountain experience, a great deal of intuition and attention to detail. All this is still reflected in Rab products today, made by climbers, for climbers.

Soon the demand for Rab products grew beyond the local climbing scene in Sheffield and the small attic became a production facility for sleeping bags and jackets for customers from all over the world. Today, 40 years after the company was founded, the Rab ethos is still deeply rooted in the collections and the products can be found all over the world - wherever adventurers seek protective gear from the elements, in the Himalayas, the Alps, or around the campfire after a long day climbing at the local crag.
