This model is also available in the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the Deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
The most efficient method of carrying heavy loads occurs when the backpack and wearer seamlessly merge into one entity. This is the essence of our Aircontact principle: the body contact system ensures the weight is brought close to the body, aligning with the center of gravity. Consequently, this configuration enables complete pack control and facilities effective load transfer. Additionally, deuter´s Aircontact cushions, crafted from unique hollow chamber foam, ensure exceptional ventilation by capitalizing on the pump effect generated with every movement. THE RESULT: Reduced perspiration compared to a conventional compact back system, along with exceptional load transfer and a secure, perfectly balanced fit.
This deuter product is free of intentionally used PFAS (per- & polyfluorinated chemicals). deuter thus reduces the use of substances, that are known to harm the environment and health. For outdoor products PFAS are mainly used for water repellant treatments. Instead, deuter uses since 2019 alternative DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation.
