The most efficient method of carrying heavy loads occurs when the backpack and wearer seamlessly merge into one entity. For backpacks for alpine use, it is crucial to coordinate wearing comfort, durability and function in a weight-optimized way. The Alpine System is the answer to this challenge. Its two Softstripe pads flexibly hug the back with every movement. In conjunction with the slim pack sack, the load is always kept close to the body's center of gravity. This guarantees full control over the backpack. THE RESULT: The Alpine System combines a light, secure fit for concentrated action in difficult terrain with maximum comfort and pleasant ventilation between the two Softstripe back pads.
This deuter product is free of intentionally used PFAS (per- & polyfluorinated chemicals). deuter thus reduces the use of substances, that are known to harm the environment and health. For outdoor products PFAS are mainly used for water repellant treatments. Instead, deuter uses since 2019 alternative DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation.
