Its lightweight construction, lightweight materials, the deuter Lite back system and pared down features combine to make the Speed Lite 30 a featherweight in the hiking category. That means you can put more energy into the trail and less into carrying the load. Wide, ergonomically shaped shoulder straps with full ventilation, supple hip fins and a precision-adjustable, lightly elasticated sternum strap create a snug fit with zero load wobble and distribute the weight evenly between the hips and shoulders. This minimizes strain on the shoulders and therefore also on the back. The r main material yarn is made from 100 % recycled industrial waste and certified to recognised standards.

This deuter product is free of intentionally used PFAS (per- & polyfluorinated chemicals). deuter thus reduces the use of substances, that are known to harm the environment and health. For outdoor products PFAS are mainly used for water repellant treatments. Instead, deuter uses since 2019 alternative DWR (Durable Water Repellency) impregnation.
This model is also available in the SL version. The SL back length is specific for women: on average, women have shorter backs than men. The carrying system in the SL model is therefore somewhat shorter than in the Deuter standard backpacks. In addition, the carrying system is specially adapted to the female anatomy.
